Just wanted to give everyone a heads up for this coming Sunday. We will be a bit late opening again (between 10:30 and 11:00) and we will have to have a hard stop at 2:00 pm. Our cat "Chicken Dog" is diabetic and had been in remission, but he needs to go back on insulin again. This means for 3 days in a row, we have to check his blood sugar every 4 hours to make sure we have his insulin dosage correct. We would just like to express our thanks for your understanding. He's the sweetest cat in the world and worth the a big Thank You, from Ted, me and Chicken Dog! ... See MoreSee Less

Hi guys! No secret...we have lots of pets...5 cats and a dog. One of the cats...the infamous Chicken my diabetic boy. We love and take good care of our animals. Ted is giving back to the community on Monday by meeting with the Mennonite Relief Committee to see how we can participate and support this year, and also doing a bike safety talk in Baden on the same day. We get one day off a week. And that day is Monday. When you have a diabetic cat, you need to check their blood sugar levels every so often...And as Monday is out....We need to do that on Sunday. The shop will open an hour later on Sunday (11-2) and we will have a hard close at 2. No exceptions...We need to check blood glucose at 6:30, 10:30, 2:30 and 6:30. Chicken Dog thanks you although lately he prefers to be called Handsome Chuck, the Magic Cat. ... See MoreSee Less
